As one of Hamburg’s oldest surviving warehouse buildings, this listed former warehouse exudes authentic harbor charm—even though it lies just outside the protected Speicherstadt district. Today, the impressive brick structure on the edge of HafenCity houses the aforementioned museum. A visit is well worth it: the fascinating private collection, featuring countless ship models and nautical charts, spans a full nine decks and is truly unique worldwide.
